Extended Warranty Policy
1. Overview
The Extended Warranty Program provides customers with a 2 year extended warranty, coverage beginning from original purchase date.
The extended warranty is available for purchase at $399 for high school programs and
$599 for any college or university programs.
This policy outlines what is covered, what is excluded, how claims are processed, and how eligibility is tracked.
2. Coverage Details
2.1 Covered Components
The Extended Warranty covers manufacturer defects and normal use failures for the following systems:
Wireless Camera System 2.0
- Wireless Camera Head 2.0
- Network Router
- Network Access Point Antenna
- PoE Injector(s)
- Large Capacity Battery
Smart Camera System 2.0 with EDGE Instant Replay
- Wireless Camera Head 2.0
- EDGE Replay Box(es)
- Network Router/Switch(es)
- Network Access Point Antennas
- Network Bridge Antennas
- PoE Injector(s)
- Large Capacity Batteries
- Antenna Tripods
EDGE Instant Replay System

Wireless / Smart Camera 2.0 as upgrade for system with existing network
- Wireless Camera Head 2.0

2.2 Covered Services
- Diagnosis of qualifying issues
- Repair or replacement of covered components
- No-cost inbound shipping (standard UPS Ground) of defective component
- No-cost outbound shipping (standard UPS Ground) of repaired component or replacement part
2.3 Coverage Window
- 2-Year Warranty must be purchased within 45 days from original purchase date of system
- Systems are not eligible after 45 days from original purchase date, no exceptions

Warranty coverage begins at original purchase date of applicable system and ends
on the same date 2 years later
3. Exclusions
The Extended Warranty does NOT cover:
3.1 Accidental or Physical Damage
- Dropping the camera head, antennas, or any covered component listed in Section 2.1
- Tower or mast collapse or impact damage
- Water damage or moisture intrusion
- Bent, crushed, cracked, or visibly damaged components
3.2 Improper Use or Installation
- Damage from improper use or missing strain relief
- Forcibly pulled or ripped-out Ethernet couplers
- Use of incorrect power sources, PoE devices, or incompatible network hardware

Example: Using an incorrect, higher-voltage charging cord to charge a 15V battery
resulting in battery failure
3.3 Non-Covered Components and Accessories
- Ethernet or HDMI cables
- Any component not explicitly listed in Section 2.1
- Accessories or add-ons not originally included with the system
- Accessories added after original purchase date
Examples include:
- Hudl Conversion Kit
- Additional EDGE Recorder Box
- Replacement Battery
3.4 Hardware from Pre-Existing Systems

Extended Warranty applies only to new system purchases.
Hardware from pre-existing systems is not covered even if integrated with new equipment.

Only new system hardware that the extended warranty is purchased alongside of, or within the 45 day purchase window, is eligible for coverage under the extended warranty guidelines
3.5 Shipping Exclusions
- Standard UPS Ground shipping may be issued; expedited shipping is not guaranteed
- Expedited shipping may be offered at company discretion
- UPS Overnight shipping must be paid by the customer if requested
Note: Some misuse-related damage may be repaired at company discretion but is not guaranteed.
4. Claim Evaluation Requirements
- Active extended warranty required
- Issue must be normal-use failure, not failure due to a reason listed in Section 3
- Returned components must pass physical inspection
- Internal computer address code must match company records (for recording devices)
If a claim is denied, a paid repair option may be offered.
5. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain eligibility, customers must:
- Follow operating instructions
- Use proper care with all hardware and always utilize cable strain relief
- Protect equipment from weather and impact
- Use only approved power sources and accessories (PoE Injectors, Batteries, Etc.)
6. Warranty Claims
6.1 Warranty Claim Process
- Customer contacts support
- Eligibility is verified
- Support ticket and return label issued if claim meets eligibility from Sections 2 and 3
- Customer ships item to Sport Scope
- Company inspects component
- Repair or replacement completed and returned
If the claim is denied, a paid repair option may be offered.
6.2 Warranty Claim Process Exceptions
- Replacement parts may ship prior to return of defective component at company discretion. This is not guaranteed under warranty coverage
- Under these circumstances, see Covered Services in Section 2.2 and Shipping Exclusions above in Section 3.5 for how shipping processes will be handled
- If replacement part is shipped prior to defective part's return, customer has 45 days to return defective part
- Failure to return part within this timespan results in invoicing full replacement cost
7. Legal Disclaimers
7.1 Limitation of Liability
Liability is limited exclusively to repair or replacement.
Maximum liability shall not exceed original purchase price.
Under no circumstances shall Sport Scope be liable for:
- Loss of revenue or business interruption
- Consequential, incidental, or indirect damages
- Costs associated with tower work, equipment removal, reinstallation, or third party labor
- Damage to surrounding equipment, structures, or property
7.2 Warranty Void Conditions
The Extended Warranty becomes void if:
- Damage results from failure to follow installation or operating instructions
- Unauthorized modification or repair
- Use of unauthorized accessories or power cables/sources
- Weather-related damage
7.3 No Guarantee of Continuous Operation
The Extended Warranty does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the system. Environmental factors, connectivity issues, installation variables, and third party equipment may impact performance and are outside warranty scope.
7.4 Ownership of Replaced Parts
Any components repaired or replaced under this warranty become the property of Sport Scope. Returned products may be refurbished and used for future warranty replacements.
7.5 Transferability
Warranty is non-transferable without written approval. It is valid only for the original purchaser and original installation site.
7.6 Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the state in which the company is headquartered: Washington State. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration unless prohibited by local law.
7.7 Right to Modify Policy
The company reserves the right to modify or update this warranty program at any time. Policy updates do not retroactively affect active warranties.
